I don't understand why these costumes are being charged for in the first place. A lot of them were from past DOA games...
"Tekken being better is hardly an argument that goes toward making the game lacking replay value"
Then lets take Tekken out of the equation then. Let's compare DOA5 to VF5:FS. Both games comparably have the same number of modes, minus tag for VF, but tag isn't featured online in DOA5 so that wouldn't count. Both games have a training mode that help with basics, and a replay system to watch your matches.
Yet Virtua Fighter only costs $15...
Tekken Tag 2 has more replay value, for one. It has more than twice as many playable characters, customization (which is really the standard for 3d fighting games at this point), fight lab, a robust online interface with better netcode..
The GTX 660 ti gets better performance, runs on less power, and is cheaper than the HD 7850, so you may want to consider that before you make your upgrade buddy.
i dont think so, I've seen them used on arcade cabinets. I'll have to check on that though
Well they "dumbed down" Soul Calibur 5, and we saw how that went. Critically received worse and sold barely half as much as its predecessor, and competitive players have very little interest in the title.
Tekken is currently the most played 3d fighting game series worldwide; it doesn't need to change its formula to adapt to a new audience. I believe that if you want to change the mechanics of a game, fighting or not, do it for the sake of expanding its core elem...
probably doesnt want to buy it new
Dust looks interesting with it's interaction with Eve Online, but Planetside 2 (coincidentally developed by SOE) looks far more impressive especially in terms of scale.
If they followed up on the great story and gameplay of the first, they could would have a great game on their hands. Sadly, the game is resembling too much of Crysis 2.
"I heard there were a huge amount of people working on [Capcom's] Devil May Cry 4, just an enormous amount of people," Kamiya said in an interview with Edge. "Didn't help them, did it?"
wow he's really downplaying DMC4... Whether he thought the game was good or not, I'm still surprised this was said.
They'll probably begin work on it now that ttt2 is out
wow seriously?
"Absurd numbers"? 81/100 is an "absurd" score?
and the 360/ps3 versions...?
I haven't had the chance to play it online yet, but I've been hearing it's pretty solid. That's great to hear, I know I'll be playing TTT2 for a long time :)
Well, Harada and Namco stated that the DLC characters will all be unlocked for free in a few months. Harada's has already stated his disdain for DLC characters in fighting games, so we know that any dlc will more than likely be extra characterization parts.
If I get Battlefield 4, I'd probably end up getting it for PC. But I wonder if they will finally up the player count to at least 32 by then for consoles?
Don't know why the disagrees, I started work this year as an engineer myself and don't get much time to play games either. I still checkup on Gran Turismo news either here or GTPlanet occasionally, but since I got my RX8, I've mostly been going to the track to satisfy my racing needs when I get the time.
TTT2 uses Soul Calibur 5's netcode so it should play pretty smoothly
definitely outsold all the other 3d fighters this year thats for sure
